Development of High Speed Laser Cutting Optics Engine

Development of dual-beam laser control by ITRI is a technique on ITRI Laser Cutting Engine. The engine implements asynchronous annealing procedure and pre-heating hence increase the cutting speed by up to 30%, which is accompanied by a 50% cost savings of assisting gas.

Integrated temperature and distance measurement scheme allow the Laser Cutting engine to deliver two functionalities with the same optical route. The transverse measurement resolution is improving by ten times to 0.2mm. The engine features a modular design that results in a 25% reduction in construction costs. This technology solves the problems with using traditional rotary blades and beneficial for the upgrades of five-axis machining.
